At House of Annetta, using a SYSTEMS RIP framework, we explore local food systems: the waste built into them, and experiments for testing alternatives by hosting a series of events, from mapping waste patterns in the local area, organising walks, and exploring resources for longer-term resilience of community food security. We strengthen community networks by bringing people together through social eating activities, setting up local systems for food redistribution based around House of Annetta, and researching commercial food producers like shops and markets. We’ll learn about our personal relationships to food and local diverse strategies for dealing with food waste and surplus food.
