Just FACT – Agnes Wakibia & Co
Wakibia and Co. is a small market garden enterprise situated in Lauriston Farm in the north of Edinburgh, specialising in growing crops that cater to the culinary needs of the diverse communities of the city. Organic and regenerative principles are used to promote soil health and bio-diversity, something I learn more about from the founder, Agnes Taiti. We discuss how she got started and why it’s so important to have access to culturally appropriate food.
The Food & Climate Justice Podcast has grown out of the Just FACT Programme, a network of 26 partners working towards creating an environmentally sustainable and socially just food system in Tower Hamlets, led by Wen (Women’s Environmental Network).
